Overview

Stackpane is a native macOS application that connects directly to your cloud providers (Firebase, Supabase, and AWS). Your data flows between your Mac and your cloud provider — it never passes through Stackpane servers.

Credentials

Your cloud provider credentials (API keys, service account keys, access tokens) are stored exclusively in the macOS Keychain on your device. Stackpane never transmits, collects, or has access to your credentials remotely.

Data We Collect

By default, Stackpane collects anonymous usage analytics to help us improve the app. This includes:

  • App version and macOS version
  • Feature usage (which views and actions are used, not what data is viewed)
  • Crash reports and error logs (no personal data or credentials)

You can disable analytics entirely in Settings > Usage. No data is collected after opting out.

What We Don't Collect

  • Your cloud provider data (documents, users, files, queries)
  • Your credentials, API keys, or tokens
  • Your project names, database contents, or bucket files
  • Any personally identifiable information

Third-Party Services

Stackpane uses Sparkle for update checks. Update checks contact our update server to compare your installed version against the latest release. No personal data is sent. You can disable automatic update checks in Settings.

Local Data Storage

Stackpane stores app configuration, saved queries, bookmarks, and usage history in a local SQLite database on your Mac. This data never leaves your device.

Your Rights

Since Stackpane does not collect personal data, there is typically nothing to request access to or delete. If you have analytics enabled and wish to stop collection, disable it in Settings. All locally stored data can be removed by deleting the Stackpane application support folder.
